Arrivals & Departures

The details below will help you arrive with ease and settle into island time.

By Air

The closest airports are Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda Airport (PGD).

RSW is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Tarpon Lodge, while PGD is approximately 1 hour away. From either location, guests may rent a car or arrange for a car service or rideshare to reach the property.

By Car

Guests driving may arrive directly to Tarpon Lodge.

Guests Staying at Tarpon Lodge

Guests staying at Tarpon Lodge may arrive directly to the property and check in upon arrival.

The Ladies' Bridal Luncheon will be held at Tarpon Lodge on Friday, October 9th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. If you are planning to attend, please arrive directly to the property by that time.

Ferry transportation will be provided throughout the weekend as needed. Please refer to Voyage Times for schedules and details.

Guests Staying on Cabbage Key

Guests staying on Cabbage Key will depart from the Tarpon Lodge via ferry and be transported to the island to access their rooms and cottages.

The Ladies' Bridal Luncheon will be held at Tarpon Lodge on Friday, October 9th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Guests staying on Cabbage Key who plan to attend should arrive directly to Tarpon Lodge, and may check in to their accommodations on the island following the luncheon.

For guests not attending the Ladies' Bridal Luncheon, check-in will take place upon arrival at Cabbage Key. Upon arrival to Tarpon Lodge, guests may board the next available ferry to the island.

Ferry departures for arrivals on Friday will run hourly from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please refer to Voyage Times for full schedules and details.

Parking

Parking will be available at both the Tarpon Lodge and Safe Harbor Pineland, located just next to the lodge.

Parking at Tarpon Lodge is available for $20 per day and offers the most convenient access for guests staying at either property. Additional parking is available at Safe Harbor Pineland for $12 per day.

Departures

As the weekend winds down, please review the departure details below:

Checkout time for both properties is 11:00 AM.

Guests staying on Cabbage Key will depart the island aboard the 1:00 PM ferry, the only ferry available that day.

Guests of the Tarpon Lodge may depart at their leisure following checkout.

We wish you safe travels home and hope the warmth of this weekend stays with you long after you've left the island.

Please Note:

The opening festivity of the weekend is the Ladies' Bridal Luncheon. If you won't be joining us, we recommend timing your arrival to allow plenty of time to settle in before the Welcome Party. Please refer to Weekend Festivities for additional details.

Guest Quarters

Both properties have been privately reserved for the weekend’s festivities, and to make your stay as seamless as possible, all accommodations will be thoughtfully arranged on your behalf following the June 1st reply deadline. As a result, reservations cannot be made independently.

Guest quarters will be carefully assigned, and once your placement is confirmed, your respective property will reach out directly to complete your reservation and finalize payment details.

From there, you will settle in and step into a weekend of sunlit celebrations, island elegance, and timeless Old Florida charm.

Guests staying at the Tarpon Lodge will enjoy waterfront accommodations on the mainland within a historic 1926 lodge, where classic Old Florida character meets a relaxed, refined atmosphere. Overlooking Pine Island Sound and steeped in charm, Tarpon Lodge offers a timeless setting for the weekend's festivities.

Cabbage Key

Guests staying on Cabbage Key will experience island living at its most charming, set across 100 acres of tropical vegetation surrounding its historic inn, restaurant, and cottages. Surrounded by Pine Island Sound, it offers panoramic views, winding nature trails, and a beautifully picturesque setting.

Your Stay

After the June 1st reply deadline, guest accommodations will be carefully arranged for the weekend. Once your placement is confirmed, your assigned property will be in touch directly to finalize your reservation and coordinate payment.

You will be notified of your assigned quarters at that time. We truly appreciate early replies, as they help us prepare and finalize arrangements as smoothly as possible.

Voyage Times

Below are your passage times between the Tarpon Lodge and Cabbage Key, where each crossing unfolds against the waters of Pine Island Sound. A small selection of beverages will be available onboard for your enjoyment. Along the way, you may also catch a glimpse of local wildlife, including coastal birds, dolphins, and even manatees.

Tarpon Lodge

A 1926 waterfront lodge overlooking Pine Island Sound, known for its easy rhythm and classic Old Florida Charm. Spend your time poolside at the heated outdoor pool, strolling along the dock and waterfront, or exploring the Calusa Heritage Trail just across the street. As the day winds down, the sunset over the water is not to be missed.

A continental breakfast is offered each morning from 7:00 to 10:00 AM in the main dining room of the historic lodge, featuring locally brewed coffee, fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, and other light offerings.

Lunch is served daily from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the main dining room. A coastal-inspired lunch menu blends fresh Gulf seafood, elevated American classics, and light tropical flavors.

Dinner is served daily from 5:00 to 9:00 PM in the main dining room. The full liquor lounge, tucked within the historic lodge, offers a selection of locally inspired cocktails.

Cabbage Key

Set across 100 acres of lush tropical vegetation atop an Indian shell mound, Cabbage Key is home to charming cottages and the historic Cabbage Key Inn & Restaurant.

Winding nature trails offer glimpses of local wildlife, along with the island's resident tortoises. Climb the water tower for sweeping sunset views over the Gulf, then wander toward the creamery or gift shop.

Inside the restaurant, the Dollar Bill Bar is a must - known for its Cabbage Creeper and Planter's Punch, the island's signature cocktails.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily at the restaurant:

Breakfast: 7:30 to 9:00 AM (Monday - Saturday), until 10:00 AM on Sunday
Lunch: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Monday - Friday), until 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday

The Perfect Cup Roastery & Café

A bright, easygoing café in nearby Matlacha, known for its house-roasted coffee and fresh breakfast and lunch offerings. Open daily from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with Sunday hours until 2:00 PM. Address linked below.

Yucatán Waterfront Tiki Bar & Grill

A vividly expressive waterfront village with deep roots in Florida’s fishing heritage, now reimagined as one of Southwest Florida’s most colorful and creative enclaves.

On your way onto Pine Island, you’ll pass through Matlacha—its colorful cottages and painted storefronts impossible to miss.

In the decades following its early days as a commercial fishing hub, residents transformed the town with bold, tropical color, giving rise to the galleries, independent shops, and vibrant character that define it today.

Best explored on foot, Matlacha unfolds at an unhurried pace, where art, history, and coastal charm come together.

Ferries depart promptly at the listed times, and we kindly recommend arriving a few minutes early for boarding.

Arrival Timing

Guests are encouraged to plan their arrival with the weekend's festivities in mind. Those attending the Ladies' Bridal Luncheon should arrive directly to the Tarpon Lodge by 12:00 PM on Friday.

For all others, we recommend arriving with ample time to check in and settle in prior to the Welcome Party. Full event timing may be found under Weekend Festivities.

Accommodations

Once your placement is confirmed, your assigned property will contact you directly to complete your reservation and coordinate payment.

Throughout the weekend, guests will also move along docks when boarding and departing ferries, so we encourage planning footwear accordingly.

October in Southwest Florida is typically warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s. A light coastal breeze is common, especially in the evenings.
